Waltzing Matilda is a known Australian bush ballad song with words written by Banjo Paterson and the tune played by Christina Macpherson. The tune was a Scottish song entitled Craigielea. Millions of Aussies as well as people from other nations are familiar with the song but majority of them do not have an idea of what the song is all about.

Unless the DVLA, or the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency, applies any condition to a hard of hearing driver’s license, auto insurance agencies cannot give higher quotes or premiums to hard of hearing drivers.

The words of the song were written by Andrew “Banjo” Paterson to the tune of The Craigielee March, which he heard Christina Macpherson play on the zither. Banjo Paterson was in Dagworth Station in Outback Australia visiting the Macpherson family when he wrote the lyrics. The tune that Christina Macpherson was playing inspired him to write the lyrics.

Waltzing Matilda combines two rather violent incidents that happened in Combo, Waterhole. One of these was the suicide of Hoffmeister and the found skin of a newly butchered sheep.
