Animal trapping has been around probably since the time that humans and animals first interacted. In earlier times people would hunt animals for food and clothing, and some animals are too fierce and deadly to confront head on, too fast or cunning, or too big and powerful to physically subdue. This is when man turned to traps to overcome these deadly beasts that would be impossible to do otherwise. Hunting animals by means of traps not only kept the people away from harm, it also allowed for the capture of more animals than would be possible when done physically.
