If you're an authorized user and the primary account holder defaults on the account, goes into collections or declares bankruptcy, expect to see a hit to your credit score. This once helpful credit history will become a derogatory mark on your credit report and it can be a real pain to get the credit bureaus and card issuers to remove the account, even though you aren't responsible for the debt.
