In 2011, over 78 million will turn 65 years old, the age where health care starts to get really critical. The population that comprises this bracket is being taken care of by people. The population that comprises this bracket is being taken care of by about 48 million men and women, who do not receive the proper support they should be receiving as well. Truth is, there are not much doctors who specialize in the field of geriatrics, or the caring for the elderly.  In addition to that sad fact, informal caregivers in the form of family and friends are now constantly rising, since rates of home care are exasperatingly high.  These people, who do take care of their old parents or relatives, are also breadwinners in their own right.  They use up their own savings to sustain the medical attention, or even cut back on their own insurance expense to be able to shoulder the insurance of their elderly.
