At the opening drive of the 2nd half of the November 13, 2010 game at The Swamp, Marcus Lattimore, the league’s second best rushing, made a backbreaking 21-yard touchdown run that would pretty much spell out the fate for the remainder of the game. Early in the fourth quarter, Stephen Garcia made an 8-yard touchdown that gave South Carolina a 29-7 lead and went on to clinch an upset over Florida with a final score of 36-14 for its first ever Southeastern Conference’s Eastern Division Championship. Marcus Lattimore would then finish the game with a career high 212-yard run and three touchdowns. This would also be the game Stephen Garcia would go on without having a single turnover.
