Comodo Secure DNS is a recursive DNS service. To manage your DNS records, you need an authoritative DNS service. The server to which the resolver connects is known as the "recursive DNS server," and is usually maintained by your ISP or connectivity provider (corporate entities may maintain their own recursive DNS servers). The location of the server is not important, so long as the resolver can connect to it reliably and quickly. There should be no interference reaching websites or services outside of your local network. Utilizing fully qualified Internet addresses on properly configured local networks will also result in the proper response while trying to reach local servers or services within your network.
