Make-a-Wish Foundation – This organization has granted more than 165,000 wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses since its inception in 1980. There are approximately 25,000 volunteers who all help to make the kids’ wishes come true. Aside from their corporate sponsors, donors and advocates, Make-a-Wish welcomes individuals who wish to volunteer their time to this worthy cause.
