Cleethorpes is a town and seaside resort located in North East Lincolnshire. Remains point to the 6th century as the beginning of permanent occupation by the Danes in Cleethorpes. It developed as a fishing village, and in 1801, the population was only at 284. It wasn’t until 1820 that the town saw early development as a health holiday resort.Today, it is a popular vacation destination that attracts up to a million visitors every year. Aside from its three-mile stretch of first-rate sandy beach and wide promenade, the traditional tourist facilities in Cleethorpes have been improved, and newer attractions have been added within the past few years.
