Candles have been used for many different occasions. People have been using candles not just to light their path or their surroundings but they also use it for traditional religious rituals and services. Different celebrations also use candles such as birthdays, anniversaries and holidays among others. Candles are also used to decorate homes and offices.
During earlier times, candles were made from tallow. Tallow is a hard substance made from rendered animal fat. This was used mostly during the Egyptian and Roman times. Because of this, candles burned poorly and had a not-so-good smell.
