BlackBerry is currently one of the leading smartphone providers. BlackBerry devices are designed and developed by Research in Motion. The first BlackBerry, called 850, was introduced in 1999 in Germany. It supports push e-mail, text messaging and internet faxing, as well as basic phone functions. The most recognizable feature of the BlackBerry is its QWERTY keyboard. BlackBerry uses an operating system developed by RIM. The operating system supports JAVA and WAP.
