Childtime Learning Centers
Childtime Learning Centers was founded in 1967 as a division of Gerber Products Corporation and has since grown to include more than 250 sites across the United States, quite a few of them operating conveniently in hospitals, corporations, government offices and office parks. Childtime centers provide child care and early childhood education services for preschool-, kindergarten- and school-age children from ages 6 to 12.
Based on the Reggio Emilia approach, Childtime’s educational philosophy is that relationships with approachable and respectful adults provide the foundation for learning, wherein children can develop a trust, competence and independence which will help them grow as students and individuals.
Childtime’s curriculum, The Empowered Child™ serves to strengthen a child’s physical, social, emotional, cognitive and language skills that he or she will need to grow into a healthy, well-rounded person. Age- and developmentally appropriate experiences, classrooms that are conducive to learning and responsive relationships between the teacher and the child are instrumental to a child’s growth and are all offered at Childtime.
